On the 18, 19 and 20 May 2012, the tenth Ipomea del Negombo plant show takes place, displaying rare plants which thrive in warm temperatures. The show is held at the hydro-thermal botanical gardens of Negombo, Lacco Ameno, on the island of Ischia.
Once again Ischia island hosts this year’s tenth plant show, Ipomea del Negombo.

Ischia was chosen once again thanks to its central location close to Naples, the Sorrentine peninsula, Amalfi coast and other islands in the gulf; these are all areas rich in gardens and terraces ideal for hosting the plants cultivated by the exhibitors.

The show is held in a kind of “Eden” park; the hydro-thermal spa park of Negombo, which, year after year, is becoming an artistic garden. Landscape architect Ermanno Casaco introduced pieces “Arco in cielo” by Arnaldo Pomodoro, the “Strale” bu Lucio Del Pezzo, “Gli Occhi di Nesti e di Neri” by Laura Panno, and “Volo” by Giuseppe Maraniello, integrating art into the botanical gardens.

The garden is an emblem of beauty and Ipomea del Negombo is designed to stimulate the senses and create a sense of responsibility towards the environment and nature, where fundamental contribution can be given by the numerous yearly botanical plants shows, seminars and exhibitions.
