D’Ambra Vini, situated in Forio, and is one of the most renowned wine producers on the island of Ischia. The cantina is set in natural amphitheatre on the slopes of the verdant hillsides of Mount Epomeo, developed over an area of 3500 sq m.

Inside the cantina are all the aspects of wine-producing with steel tanks and small and large barrels for the refining of red wine, and the bottling and storing of the final produce.

The cantina boasts an ideal temperature for the production of wines. 800 tonnes of grapes are used per day for white wine and 250 tonnes for red wine. The capacity of the cantina is 10, 000 hectolitres in steel and 3000 hectolitres in wood, allowing a production of 3000 bottles per hour to be produced. Among the various types are the fruity white Biancolella and the earthy Mario d’Ambra.

The various types of wines can be tasted and bought at the cantina’s shop. Casa D’Ambra also features a farming museum, displaying original tools and machinery used to produce wine.

D’Ambra Vini is situated in Panza, a small village part of Forio, and is accessible by car, taxi, micro taxi and bus routes no. 1, CS and CD which depart frequently from Ischia Porto and Sant’Angelo.
